They're also not very clear on what they're claiming to be 1 in a million. Is it the chance of being struck by a meteorite or the chance of surviving assuming you are struck.

One of those is much, much lower than 1 in a million. More like 1 in a billion (?) based on the fact that there are two recorded instances in all of history. One is much, much higher than 1 in a million.

But if people die or even vaporized from the contact, then you might not be able to count them?

Mythbusters did it with a falling elevator. Didn't work.

"Most don't actually make it to ground level because they evaporate in the atmosphere. Of those that do get through, about six out of every seven of them land in water," he added.
Strange? The oceans cover 72% of the planet's surface. Why would they receive 86% of the meteor strikes??

God diverts some of the meteors to keep his loyal minions safe.

My guess is most meteors are in elliptical orbits with in 10 degrees or so of the sun's equator so they're probably slightly more likely to hit the Earth some where relatively close to the equator where there is more ocean then land.

Even a mildly retarded individual like yourself should be able to see that the important thing is not surface area, but cross-sectional area relative to the ecliptic (which is where most meteors come from) Low latitudes are disproportionately ocean, while high latitudes are disproportionately land.

No, you called me "mildly retarded." Drake called me a "total moron." I have to give the win to Drake.

Now, perpetrating a fraud I'll believe, all humans seem capable of that. But demonstrating a sense of humor, not in Germany, unless it came to visit.

I think it could work if it were physically possible to jump upward faster than the speed at which the elevator is falling. But not even Jordon can jump that fast.

I think they wasted a perfectly good elevator. . Have they not heard of the concept that all objects in a vehicle are traveling at the same speed? If you throw a ball up in a moving car, it doesn't fly out the rear window.
