Actually there was a gay pride parade a few years back in a small town (about 40 thousand people) it attracted some protesters but the main drama came from a couple of local deejays who handed out gay porn to bystanders on the street while wearing a speedo. Both were arrested for distributing porn and were charged with felonies because one was a minor. Both were fired along with another morning guy for encouraging it.
