yeah apparantly some words that used to be censored are not anymore. Like wanker and ****.

Although strangely enough, I haven't had a need to use those words since they have been unbanned. Only when they were censored did I have a need to use them. I'll have to use them more frequently now in my regular conversation. Let me think of a common example. I like to wank off once an hour to hot ****s in leather.

Censorship and the power it confers create more problems than they solve. Do without censorship in an adult forum. Before some idiot fills an entire page with foul, nasty, and prejudicial words, note that the monitors can still block, delete, or censor specific entries. I am personally offended by some of the epithets, such as the n-word. However, some of them are archaic and not more than a little silly. I mean does anybody try to be nasty by saying "Bohunk," "borsht-eater," "Polack," and such anymore?

What's your point, that context matters? It's okay when my friends call me a ********er or an *******, but if the guy who just spilled my beer in a bar says it to me there's going to be trouble....

I guess it comes down to whos saying it. There is no proper context for a white boy to say it. If it was just context then it wouldn't bother me as much.

I guess it depends who you talk to. I have a few close friends that are black, and when I asked they just laughed at me. No white man is close enough to call us ******s. But you're right, it's probably a person by person thing.

I think the context of the post is more important than the specific words used. I'm not a regular on the OT Forum but I can see that some people thrive on the conflict and are just looking for a reaction. I pity the narrow minded people who need to use the "n" word to make themselves feel bigger. Its a bit sad really!
