It's not all that serious. But unlike the curse words (other than c*nt) the ethnic slurs (+ ******) that I listed are more than likely to get you punched in the face in real life.

Honestly, I see the reason for the autocensor, and I agree that "******" should be on it. As should "****", "wop", "raghead" and any other of the nuclear bombs of ethnic slurs. I'd also add "******" to the list.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm sick of seeing racists on this board use this slur with impunity. Why exactly is the most offensive word in the English language uncensored while relatively unoffensive words like ****, **** and **** are censored? This needs to be addressed.

I'm opposed to the autocensor, since we invariably bypass it, it can't consider context (I graduated magna *** laude), it's annoying, and we don't have any kids on this site anyway.

However, if you want to work it so that every time somebody posts "******" the mods are notified of the post so they can ban the poster, I'm fine with that.
