Don't worry, you aren't. It was management that caused the problem.

Gee, I think there's enough blame to go around.

DanS, I can honestly say that was the first time in my entire life that I laughed at a business/economics quip. Kudos, mon ami.

          Yaaay! Market going nuts.

And thank goodness, my dog has torn ACL and needs surgery. And we hit our deductible on my sons MRI and subsequent tests. We need the money.

Sucks for GM, oh well... go Ford!

Bummer about your dog, Japher. Ouch, poor pup.

I'll second Guy. That was good.

Yeah, that happened with my parent's dog several years ago, poor little dude. They went ahead with the surgery, the recovery sucked, and he still had a little hitch in his giddy-up whenever he ran.

Rufus: You better act fast! They're going to suspend trading on GM stock soon!
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

From what I can gather, this is not a good deal for the taxpayers. We're shouldering a ton of risk; meanwhile, legacy workers are continuing to be paid above-market wages and benefits and investors are being paid off even though the securities they hold are worthless.

Ozzy, would you support GM hiring 10 year olds to reduce cost? The craftsmanship would probably be comparable to their current union workforce.

This won't be the end of taxpayer money invested in this company as I'm sure they will be back for more before long. Sad part is, how do you say no the next time?
