Having read up on Mr. Tapper's work, my problem with him has nothing to do with his ideological leanings, because he is no right wing Fox News hack (if he were, he wouldn't have writen so much on the lack of WMD's back in those halcyon days of April 2003). He comes accross as simply the snarky smart-ass who is good at pointing out problems with what others say but really has nothing original or new to add himself. How original. He would fit in great here in Poly.

Interestingly enough when Jon Stewart is the snarky smart-ass who is good at pointing out problems with what others say, liberals go into a tizzy about how sad it is that a "comedian" is the only one doing "real journalism" and how the MSM should be doing this. Tapper does it in a more serious manner and all of a sudden, it's simple and anyone can do it.
AMAZING!“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)

AMAZING!
When Jon Stewart says he is jnot a journalist, HE IS RIGHT. Ergo, doing what Jon Stewart does and not being comical about it hardly makes someone a great journalist - it only makes them an unfunny bastard.
Oh, and newsflash, I don't watch MSNBC, or read DailyKos or really care about those mediums, because while better than Faux or Glenn Back, they are still ****. Eroo my general contempt for journalism.
I stick to newspapers and PBS, when I have access to it.
Also, love the BAM there - that because I have liberal leanings, somehow I must be like all other "stareotypical Liberals." Must be why I supported Hillary as opposed to Obama in the primaries..wait, you supported Hillary as well....LIBERAL!!!If you don't like reality, change it! me
