Post whatever social changes you think will take place. Post an explanation if you think we need one. Be as general or as specific as you want. Timeframe is flexible - if you think something will change tomorrow, go for it. Likewise if you think something will change in 1000 years or more.

I'll start.

100 years from now: Advances in synthetic foodstuffs will counteract much of world hunger. Animals, in developed countries, will be a relatively expensive foodstuff and otherwise will not be bred in the same volumes as now, because the land area would much more efficiently produce crops.

The technological singularity will transform the Earth into a new environment in which humans are once again forced to evolve to survive. It is impossible to know what changes will be necessary, but we may have to shed the mortal coil and live in computers, develop cybernetic enhancements that blur the line between robot and human, or learn to telepathically communicate with the machinery that now runs our planet.

Cheney is resurrected too to argue that those space aliens had no alternative, and overall life in the matrix isn't soo bad. Pelosi will have to defend herself if she knew more about the matrix. Of course, Bush is really behind everything.

Scenario 1:

Resources needed to run industrialized nations (most importantly, petroleum) peak early in the century and begin to decline precipitously. As demand outstrips availability, standards of living drop. We begin to enter an economically unstable time.

The massive agricultural outputs created by the Green Revolution will be dead as the price of fertilizers and pesticides skyrockets. Food prices will rise and Globally population will contract significantly. Mass exoduses out of cities and suburbs. There could resource wars for control of nations with oil reserves and strategic pipelines.

What society of civilization emerges in the end is hard to say.

Scenario 2:

Millennia of rule by the Judeo-bolshevism is finally defeated in Ragnarök. The resurrected Chimera-demongod of Moses and Carl Marx is killed by the avatar of Hitler-Jesus.
