My wife likes the show, so I did see it last night. They could cut the run time in half without all the "next time" and "coming up" crap. How short an attention span do they think everybody has?!?

The Bachelorette? Solomwi, you just lost your e-cred bro.

Damn, Riesstiu. If I'd known I had any e-cred to begin with, I would have never admitted it.

Thankfully, he goes home soon, so even though his screen time is entertaining as hell, I won't have to suffer through the rest of this too much. How does anybody get into these shows?

First the tree whacking maniac, now the bachelorette? I thought I was having a bad week.

QFT Its completely ridiculous-- a touchdown pass in the superbowl gets replayed less than anything remotely interesting

My wife likes this type of show so last night I sat through it with her - I was actually mainly playing a Smax scenarion created by Darsnan in which ( but I digress)--- After seven years of marriage I have found that actually sitting with my wife from time to time, even when she is watching something I think is utter garbage, improves things for me immensely (plus I eliminated the Drones and am moving on to the Hive LOL)

                  Bilbro? Big douche

Other than that I found the show to be moderately amusing. It was just funny to see all these guys puffing up and trying to find ways to stand out and be top dog. I half expected guys to start dropping their shorts and pulling out the rulers

True. At least they both had some entertainment value. And this one brought Flubber out of hiding!

                      wow

never knew I was in hiding-- I was "in Florida" for a few weeks with no computer-- Otherwise I'm generally posting in the sports part of OT or over in the SMAX part of the forum.

Regular OT? Peek here sometimes but haven't posted much since back a few years ago when it amused me to take my turn going a few rounds with kidicious in some cap-com debates.

If I haven't seen you post in a while, you're in hiding, dammit.

Those were some entertaining threads. Remember them well.

I was entertained-- wasn't sure about anyone else. I am now reading Alan Greenspan's "The Age of Turbulance"-- I have just started it but already I have seen numerous statements that would have kidicious frothing at the mouth

Like this one-- speaking about the period of post 1989 economies Greenspan had these nuggets
                          ------------------------------------------------

"Central PLanning was exposed as an unredeemable failure; coupled with and supported by the growing disillusionment over the interventionist economic policies of the Western democracies . .. "

"Central planning was no longer a subject for debate. There were no eulogies. Except in North Korea and Cuba, it was dropped from the world's economic agenda"

                          -------------------------------------------------------------

I now return you to discussing the bachelorette
