I am gainfully employed and love my job but once I get my MBA in Dec. I will begin to resent my allotment in life along with everyone who has it as well as I feel I should... Obviously.
I have been surfing job boards for that "dream job" and I feel that I have found it. However, I wouldn't be able to start until Jan (where I interviewed and offered it). Should I still apply?
Also, 6 months seems like a long time to look for a job, but I hear that's about par now a days... anyone?
Also, is there a way to tell if a job posting is really just a gold pot to lure resumes, without there really being a job available?
Also, how would you convey availability? If the job has been up for a while I would assume that they don't have a ton of candidates. My old boss used to leave job postings up for months just to find THE right guy with no real intention of hiring anyone until the next quarter or so.
Thoughts?
