As much as I remember the origin of that meme, for the life of me I can't recall if FrostyBoy really mixed the photos up by accident or if it was all on purpose. Obviously the former would be way funnier than the latter. Anybody remember what thread it was?

FrostyBoy was *****ing about how run down American cities were, then posted a bunch of pictures comparing Chicago to Singapore. One of his "Chicago" pics, turned out to be London's M5 highway, iirc.

We didn't have bare skin against that. That was with windchill, too. We had the heater going full blast and even had the oven and stove on, and it was still double clothing and blankets in the house to stay warm. The cold shrank the doors so much that we had to stuff blankets in the gaps, and the #M film over the windows was billowing like a sail.

And anyone wonders why I moved to South Florida. That was almost 30 years ago and it still chills me thinking about it.

-71F isn't much colder than -46C, it's -57C. We've had that with windchill too.
