    Today is the day...

    I'll be leaving in about 12 hours to start my journey to Florida to the National Pie Championships. I've been getting ready so now I think I'll go take a nap. Just hope I don't get lost, I am a woman afterall

      Good Luck!

      I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

                      Ok.....blurry eyed and all it's 4:28 a.m. and I'm about to hit the road. Thanks for the driving tips Moby & Che I"m looking forward to the drive along the coast. We don't get to see the beach to much here in Texas, pretty much as Bob Wills said Miles and Miles of Texas! A bit nervous but I have 1100 miles to go over things in my head. Next time you see me post here it will be as a National Champion and if not I would at least like to place. Having a blue ribbon behind me besides my other contest would really help when I go to the bank to get a loan!

                          1100 miles?! Yikes, I've driven 450 miles in one go and that was enough to completely knacker me out.
