I don't know... Dale has contributed a lot to this site and the civ community. Dale's combat mod, the WW2 mod, polycast and a regular poster in the civ4 forums. I think he also worked with Firaxis. If I had to choose who to get rid of I would get rid of Asher (since he can always come back with a DL and equally interesting OT posters are plentiful).
The problem off course is that this isn't an issue of what is best for the forum but what is proper punishment for improper behavior. The same rules apply to all. But lets consider the fact that a permaban has only been issued twice on poly. Perhaps a 2 year ban is in order (who knows what's poly's situation may be then) and a zero tolerance for any future misbehavior on his part.
