        That's brilliant.
Your advertising will be an absolute breeze now. Best of luck, and if you need help with your tax returns then let me Dauphin know.

I'm hoping that it goes as well as it seems to be. I always wait for the other shoe to drop, maybe this time it won't. If they actually do something then yes, it should be quite easy to advertise

And I can't take a picture unless you want to see the last half eaten piece. Apparently Papa and two little ones decided to have a taste after dinner without telling me and all that's left. I'll make another one tomorrow I need the practice anyway.

Can you think of anything besides lemon juice that would keep bananas from turning. I'm afraid the lemon flavor would throw off the other flavors.

It's the acid that does it, so you may be out of luck there.

Anything acidic will keep the bananas from oxidizing. That means citrus or vinegar.

BHA/BHT may also work, since they do act as antioxidants, and it's oxidation that causes the browning.

Of course, they're not something you usually find ready-to-use on supermarket shelves.

Clearly the bottom is not black. I feel cheated and hollow inside.

Try a sweeter citrus like grapefruit or blood orange for the banana problem. I've never experimented with that issue before, but would be interested to hear the results. The turning issue also holds for apples and avocados, for my cooking experience. Since avocados find themselves in savory or spicy dishes lime is always a good choice. For apples, though, I find my self sometimes using lime and sometimes using orange dependent on the tartness I want to keep. Bananas are very distinctive in flavor so anything will mess them up. Grapefruit and blood oranges, or even pineapple, are "exotic" enough that I don't think ppl will notice or if the do care.

                          Pineapple sounds yummy.

Other thoughts; pomegranate juice, papaya (probably not), or kiwi or kiwi/lime?

Good question. I might do the experiment now. Need to make a fruit salad for Easter anyway.

Blackbottom refers to the crust being a chocolate waffer or in this case chocoate graham craker crumbs ya goof! When you say Blackbottom Pie people automatically know what the crust will be. Good idea about the oranges. It seems that the bananas don't begin to turn until the pie is cut, but once the air hits it's all down hill. My Mom used to use this sprinkle on stuff to keep it from turning but I can't remember what it is. I want to say Accent but I think that's for meat.

Oh, you always feel that way. It's because you're leading a drab, dreary and wretched life. You should try eating more Blackbottom Banana Fluffnutter Pie.

Oh, yes, I suppose it could seem that the false info given about the piecrust is what caused said cheating hollowness. I assure you they aren't related.

However I doubt eating a pie made with bananas and an unhealthy dose of Elmer's Glue will alter my state.
