They mostly just want the war to go away and get on with rebuilding their lives. Ordinary Afghans are just sick of the whole thing and very war weary after 30 years of it. They don't take much interest in the war, except staying alive.

If only these men-on-the-street could be convinced to take power and enable a settlement that worked... sigh ...
