Not a joke. But not a comment on the relative merits of this discussion either.

This was reported just a few days ago in The Times - this is a Right-Wing Rupert Murdoch (You know, the guy who owns Fox News!) paper, not some left-leaning paper that might be expected to sympathise with the Palestinian plight...

Times map of Israel's ongoing parasitic encroachment into Palestinian West Bank territory
        How news worthy.

Palestinians threatening to use violence to achieve their political goals vs. the Israelis? SHOCKING!

Way to prove my point, Siro, because we both know that that is not what that story actually says...

All I know is that your War Crim of an ex-leader, Ariel Sharon, used that term about the Palestinians.

How is he these days, still a vegetable? Seems like what goes around, comes around after all, as it's the least he deserves for the despicable life he has led. I can only hope that some part of his evil mind has been conscious in a pathetic and helpless state whilst he's laid comatose these years as some small token of punishment...

Well it is certainly implied by Shkaki's statements. And it is sadly the pre-conditioned Palestinian response for everything they can't handle.

The Israeli plans for E1 are well known for ages, and there's little doubt the area will eventually be built upon, and that areas surrounding Jerusalem will stay Israeli, in any future settlement.

The pals have only themselves to blame. They've been rejecting deals ever since the 40s, until the recent proposals by Olmert, which apparently was even beyond Barak's final offer in early 2001.

Speaking from a historical perspective, the Palestinians are very poor negotiators and fail to recognize good times to take an offer. For instance, the division offers in the 1940s. Or the official UN one. Or the 2001 Barak suggestion.

He sends his fare well still breathing and above ground.

But you know, when our leader is brain dead, we replace him. Had the Palestinians done so in time with Arafat, they would have a chance for a state. But then they went along and chose him for president.

Blah, blah, blah - bollocks and you know it!

Israel is busy stealing Palestinian land and it has nothing to do with rejected deals or poor negotiations. The land is not Israel's to colonise - end of story.

That is the problem with democracy, and the flaw is the US' 'grand plan'. However his actions do not obviate the chance for a viable Palestinian state, or give Israel the excuse to blatantly steal land which isn't theirs by any international law on the planet.

                            • I'm glad I avoided this thread until now. The "two shots, one kill" shirt made me laugh, though.

                                Can't be. Not this Israel.

The Palestinians can either continue make dubious historical claims from a losing position, backed by Kalashnikov rifles... or they can get their own state going, in terms that Israel agrees to.
