I don't think he's trolling, not that I care if I'm being trolled. This is one of my soapbox issues.

It's a form of socially acceptable genital mutilation and torture for children. It's appalling to me that people still do it.

Personally, I think male genital mutilation on children should be outlawed, except where it is medically necessary. If adults want to get themselves snipped, that's their own business.

From a medical standpoint, it's probably better to perform circumcisions on children. They seem to heal more easily and will have the same health benefits when they grow up as men who are circumcised as adults.

From a health standpoint, nothing of the sort is true. (well, maybe the healing better part is, but by that standard, maybe we should do all cosmetic surgery on children)

If one is to be circumcised, it should be done as a small child medically. They heal faster and they won't have the psychological issues of having to deal with the dullened sensations afterwards, as it was all they knew. Men circumcised as children also have their penis adapt to the lack of foreskin. The skin gets thicker on the head to protect it from continuous contact, for instance.

Morally, it should not. There's a reason 99% of uncircumcised men cringe at the thought of being circumcised.

Why would you even ask that? It is so obvious I doubt there's been any studies on it.

How would you get funding for a study that essentially asked: Would you like your penis mutilated?

That's kind of my point. But no, it wasn't a troll so much as a dumb joke. The thing is, if a dumb joke can provoke a condescending and cogent answer from you, who knows what a dedicated troll could accomplish.

Actually, ma'am, it isn't. It's usually something done to us without our consent, as we are infants. While some men do need to have adult circumcisions, in countries where infant circumcision isn't practiced, adult males tend not to choose to have them.

What is frightening to me is the level of medical ignorance Docfeelgood displays. I sure as hell would not want him as my medical practitioner.
