Actually, the other proles I've encountered spend roughly equal amounts of time badmouthing the management and badmouthing other employees whose habits they can't stand. The more I see of the working world, the more I wonder how much of "class struggle" is currently caused by people being pissy because they haven't smoked in hours. Nonsmokers like me just shut up and work.

You know, I've always found the single biggest downfall to class solidarity to be that just about anyone, in any job, knows of a co-worker who is just utterly incompetent, and would not lay down a finger to prevent that guy (or gal) from getting fired.

I graduated a long time ago, but as an English major, which combined with my lack of prior work experience left me with no options but pizza.

I vehemently disagree. A manager with any degree of competence can manage such a worker. Nobody's incompetent at EVERYTHING, it's a matter of directing them appropriately, giving appropriate oversight, and not letting them run wild without direction.

Well the company I used to work for employed a guy to boost their racial diversity profile. Now he may have made fantastic pizza, but he couldn't do accounts to save his life, or anyone else's. Now he may not have been incompetent at EVERYTHING, but he was certainly incompetent at everything useful in our office.

Have you been there long enough to have otherwise straight men pretend to be gay for cheap laughs? It's a service industry standard, especially in pizza.

Idunno, I think the owner is gay and he's always in the store. I'd be nervous doing that, since he's not flaming, "woo-hoo, look at me, I'm so gay hahaha" gay. But there is one teenage kid who acts extremely stereotypically gay. He dishes gossip all the time when he's working, and even talks with a lithp.
