Oh, bull****. According to you, Limbaugh is a 'hypocritical crypto-fascist' based on your last line. As for me, I'm not happy with everything the admin has done but I never expected much. I already stated what I wanted from Obama et al: improved foreign relations, moderate/liberals to replace whoever vacates the SCOTUS, and an end to torture. Now that there's an economic crisis I'll add fixing that to my list... I figure I'll get those eventually*. If not, then I'll complain.

MY beef if that Obama is getting a lot of flak less than 2 months into his presidency. Some of it is deserved, especially wrt whoever's doing his 'vetting' for him. But on the economy people are *****ing b/c the admin isn't acting quickly enough but to be fair no one knows wtf to do and doing the wrong thing would be either political or economic suicide- or both. IMO people should wait a little longer before pulling out the long knives. Of course most of those people are repubs, and it's in their political interests to have the dems fail, so I'm not surprised. But I can SAY something about it!

*-Yes, I read the thread and news about possible ongoing torture. Obama said he'll end it all including renditioning. We'll see if his actions measure up to promises in this regard.

I'm trying to think of a four-letter swear word that would cause this sentence to make grammatical sense...

Obviously it was damage control but he still acted in the interests of the country. Where's Limbaugh's damage control?

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

To be fair, Bush did get a lot of attacks early into his presidency (all through out). However, the real "hypocritical crypto-fascists" would be those who failed to criticize Bush then for his problems, yet tear into Obama now and vice versa. When Bush was elected I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I also cut him a lot of slack about the Iraq war. I've treated Obama pretty much the same. There's disappointment, but a wait and see attitude.

Of course the reasons people attack Obama this early are obvious: Politicians are hoping to score points and sway public opinions. Pundits are trying to show their knowledge and play the safer bet for their reputation. And then there's the regular folks who just parrot sound bites and ideas of the pundits, trying to prove to themselves that they are cleverer than everyone else.

Being anti-american, by his own definition.

If only. I'm not nearly smart or mean enough to even fall short of KH's posting style.

That's spot on. It's the difference when smart people are jerks and. . .let's just say average people are jerks. KH can be a real ass at times, but you respect him for it because he knows his ****. But then again, KH never needed to troll to get his jollies, so that's probably a big part of it too.
