    A true story, one of the dumb asses in my old army unit tried to wipe his ass with leaves after ****ting in the woods on Camp Pendelton and ended up using poison oak. How the hell can someone live in SoCal and not know what poison oak looks like?

    More importantly why even **** on a night land nav course and if you do why not use the napkin out of a MRE?

      A serious question, what did people use back in the day if there were only pine trees around? Their hand or snow? Around here I'd image I'd imagine I'd use oak leaves or even better leaves from a sycamore tree as they have very broad leaves with short little soft hair like things on them. They're large enough to get the job done and don't have the slightly waxy exterior like the oak leaves have so they'd be better for wiping while the oak leaves would likely just smear stuff.

        The Thai military bases all use the Asia squat toilets with the terracotta clay pipes which you can't put toilet paper down or everything clogs up. So instead you wipe and throw the toilet paper into a trash can next to the squat toilet. All the hotels and fancy restaurants use good solid western still WCs though. The really odd thing was how the fancy restaurants had a massage boy to rub your sholders while you used the urinals. That was just freaky.

          Honestly, I'd rather "waste energy" and have a first world lifestyle, then "save the environment", and live like a caveman. The liberal left, and the green movement is out of control in this country, and we shouldn't have to change our lifestyle to "save the ______".
