  • Burn Notice And Firefly

Ok, So spent most of last night watching Burn Notice on the USA network (actually watched the whole first season online) and Firefly and I'm a little impressed. Burn Notice is in its second season so I decided to catch up a little. It's not as bad as my initial impression was when I saw the advertisements on TV. I saw the movie Serenity and liked it so I had a firefly marathon night before last off of Hulu. I get what all the fuss was about. I really loved the show and how the characters interacted together. Too bad it was only one season.

On a side note, anyone else here like watching a season of a Tv series in one or two settings instead of the traditional week to week way?

I tried Honest I did. Wasn't really grabbed by it. Maybe I'll give it another shot if I run across it while I'm flipping.

Hmm, that's too bad... hopefully I'll enjoy it more Will watch it online when a few eps are out (same reasoning as yours above, largely)

My wife (a HUGE Whedon fan) watched the first episode and said it was pretty good, but seemed to lack the usual flair for crisp dialog she associates with Whedon. She decided it was because they were introducing all the players and the rules of engagement for the series concept, and that it was easily good enough to get another watch tonight.

BTW Sprayber, I believe Whedon has done some comics/graphic novels that continue the Firefly saga. Haven't seen them, but if you're into that sort of thing, you might check it out.

Dollhouse is meh. The group I watch BSG with plans to watch it before every week now. Admittedly, it's mostly the girls who do, and it seems most of them find Elisa Dushku very appealing.

Usually I don't really read graphic novels but I really did enjoy the characters. I might look around and see what's out there.

Dollhouse was indeed meh. Though I also thought Firefly (while decent) was massively overrated.

Burn Notice, IMO, is one of the best shows on TV.

Burn Notice was fun for the first few episodes, then it just got repetetive. It's a bit like the A-Team, but without the campiness.

Firefly was great until Joss ****ed it up in Serenity, I'm still miffed he
                            Spoiler:
killed off Wash the way he did,
it was totally uncalled for and served no purpose whatsoever.
