Don't get yourself addicted to alcohol or whatever and develop a "bolt plan." Sort of like a "bolt hole," a place where someone who feels (or is) unsafe can go to hide, a "bolt plan" is developed by identifying how you will bolt out of your current place to somewhere else you can stay permanently. This idea originated among people who live near a place where drugs are dealt. Folks need a plan to fade away from there, and reposition themselves after the cops shootup the whole neighborhood.
