Do you want kids?

There's no way of knowing if I have kids, or if so how many. I rarely use effective condoms but I'm good at not returning phone calls so I'll just guess 7 kids. Also, it is extraordinarily difficult to successfully serve me a subpoena.

I believe AAHZ is Bi, so he probably still has sex.
It is just that I have never heard that reason for not having sex with women before.

Well, I have been celibate all my life. So while I hope to change my circumstances some day, I do understand and think it possible to forgo sex... unlike many.

Children help prevent shingles in later life. You should take about 2 a day with a glass of water.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.”

Two daughters. We waited till we were ready. I occasionally wish we'd been parents earlier but we didnt want kids when I was a soldier and we chose to wait while we were pursuing our educations after that time.
To Arrian, I'd say that the fact that you're thinking about the issues involved in being a parent indicates your readiness and suitability to be one.We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

My main skepticism stems from the fact that you'd have to have a leave of rationality when you have a kid. Suddenly you have to promote their interests to the top of your agenda, and happily assume responsibility for their interests and welfare as though they were your own.
I'm having difficulty imagining that I can do that. If I do end up with a kid and the hoped-for glorious transformation of my emotional state doesn't happen, then I'm screwed. I'll immediately be A Bad Parent and both our lives will be shot for the foreseeable future.
However, after examining my own feelings, I think I may already have experienced such an emotional state already. My brother Torilus is the (somewhat reluctant and exasperated) target.
A brief rundown:
- In my eyes, he generally can do no wrong. On the occasions when he does, it is eminently forgivable and very easy to laugh off as a learning experience.
- One of my functions and purposes in life is to show him cool stuff that I found out. Primarily so he doesn't have to go through it himself.
- I haven't seen him in months and we don't talk more than a few lines each week by IM, but just the knowledge that he's out there, doing his own thing, helps to justify my own existence. Without this knowledge that he was out there, I'd be missing something fundamental in my own character.
- Sometimes, I will remember something he's done in the past which was dheety then. The mere fact that I remember it now means that it is dheety now as well. Often this alone is enough to make me comically indignant and can make a bad day good again.
- It doesn't matter whether he remembers all the good times we had together. It doesn't matter if he feels the same way about me. I feel this way about my brother unconditionally and he can make his own choice about what position I occupy in his life.
- When I'm around him I occupy a safe zone where I don't have to engage in any pretenses or false displays. He allows me to be completely honest in my happiness.
From what I understand, most of those feelings are how parents generally feel about their children.
Of course, my brother is only four years younger than me so when I cuddle him he generally grows bored after a bit and struggles away.
He's also bigger than me so he usually ends up taking me along with him when he wanders off."lol internet" ~ AAHZ

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.
