With Asher having lost his mojo and KH out of the game, I think the title of "Best Canadian Troll" falls to BK. May god have mercy on us all.

BK just says the same things over and over again. I cannot understand how some can grow so hot at him in such a cool medium as the computer. He is self-righteous and overbearing in terms of value judgements but he won't accept any genuine challenges to his line of reasoning. When someone offers no new insight and responds over and over with the same somewhat nonsensical or at least tangential noise, the best thing is to ignore him. Obviously, Ben knows how to push Asher's buttons. I am pleased with Asher's recent growth in which he can almost see past this.

I am not in favor of banning anyone but would be curiousif the mods can determine how many people have put a particular poster on "ignore." We could regard that as a referendum; if enough people put someone on ignore then they could be banned. (No, I haven't a pre-canned definition for "enough" people or what "could" would mean in that context.)

Actually, at this point, I'm considering not renewing Apolyton Prime. *shrugs* I don't feel like paying for a site where I end up running across certain types of idiocy.

It's not like I'm going to go away, though. I'll continue to visit the site and post, using up the available resources, and never clicking on any of the ads that probably exist out there.

But a sincere question: Why would you want to post here in the first place if you feel you're being so unfairly treated? I mean, if I joined a club of some sort and eventually felt myself surrounded by jackasses, I'd just leave them to themselves and spend my time someplace else. Not regularly drop in to remind them they're jackasses.

Well, the unfairly treated part wasn't really important. Even if it's just stupidity that's the problem, the question remains the same. What's the point in keeping up posting?

Actually thats called "toxxing," "double toxxing" (in some instances,) a "toxx violation," you could also be "quoted for toxx" as well. This results in a "toxx ban" if you are "reported for toxx." Sometimes people claim defense for this by claiming "NO TOXX," or "IM NOT TOXXING" or something to that effect.

where TOXX is Basically going against your word on something and getting caught = insta (sometimes perma) ban (or B&) and being the laughing stock of the community for a period of time.

Apolyton has somewhat of a defense for this in the ongoing "Leaving Forever" gag as well as Poly being like 8 years older than most sites that even have the TOXX CLAUSE, but is still a good rule IMO.
