Ah, okay. I guess that makes sense. Usually 'processed' carbs (ie, bread) are basically fart-free, since farts are primarily caused by undigested food making it a certain way in.

The ultimate irony behind the slander that you idiots peddle: That I apparently enjoy counting the deaths and general hardship of US soldiers - indeed that I am in some way sexually aroused each time a US solider dies, as some of you have tastefully claimed...
Is that I am one of the minority of people on this forum that was AGAINST the war in Iraq - thus keeping US soldiers out of harm's way!
It is no accident that at least two of you (not sure about Arrian? I guess Arrian's just jealous he didn't have the balls to stand up and be counted when his country most needed him - I just don't remember what his POV was. In fact are you a D or an R?) were in favour of sending US soldiers to their deaths, hideous injuries and increased suicides in a pointless and illegal war...
I hope you're both at ease with your consciences, knowing that your wishes have cost the lives of over 4,000 US soldiers and, what, c.20,000 wounded?
Have either of you two visited a military hospital to say "sorry"?
So why don't you STFU with your cowardly and most certainly two faced lies, DinoDoc and Felch (and maybe Arrian)...
If you care to search the archives for some quote of mine that supports America invading Iraq, feel free to waste your time.
Otherwise, keep this in mind: the reason I pick on you is because you're a self-righteous jerk who refuses to recognize that other people sincerely hold different opinions. Even if I disagree with people, I try very hard to hear them out and take their point of view seriously. There are plenty of people here on Poly that I can disagree with on good terms. Just in this thread, Vel and I held differing views. He is deeply concerned about the spike in suicides, while I wait for more information to see if this isn't an anomaly. Rather than resort to childish name calling we both behave like adults.
I have never had a disagreement with you that didn't wind up with you acting like a brat.
I understand where you're coming from. You think that you're better than everybody and you spend your free time desperately trying to prove it. Do you have even the slightest glimmer of where I'm coming from?John Brown did nothing wrong.

In other words, my opposition is cold-hearted and rational, and not based on moral grounds. I believe that morals are secondary to the strategic needs of a nation.

Ben
My guess would be the prolonged deployments coupled with the current economic outlook played a large part in the suicides. But it's still just a guess.I'm consitently stupid- Japher
I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

I imagine that this happens because they lost an arm, saw a friend die and that it was all for nothing.
It is not like the Iraq War can shower someone with glory.
Everybody sees it as a mistake, those guys endured horrible things for a mistake.I need a foot massage

With that sort of cheap a$$ treatment going on, I'm sure it's easy to lose hope, so that may well be part of the equation.
I dunno...just thinking out loud.

I do, but since you said I'm from Mars, it stands to reason that Felch is my b*tch...

Ben Kenobi is stubborn, insufficiently skeptical of his sources, and I often disagree with him. But I can't recall him being anything but polite. Sure he seems to favor blogs that agree with him, rather than seeking alternative viewpoints that would challenge his opinions. And while he may hold viewpoints that are offensive to some (I know Asher takes a great deal of offense) he always tries to present these viewpoints as an adult. I'm sure even Asher would agree to that. If I recall correctly, Asher even said that what really upsets him about Ben is that he is always polite about what he says, and that his politeness makes it that much more frustrating. I'll poke around and look for that thread if anybody really cares.
Ben I don't always agree with you, but I appreciate that you bring a different view to this forum, and that you do so in a mature and appropriate manner. Just try to broaden your sources a bit. Cave ab homine unius libri.John Brown did nothing wrong.

Bravo Felch. See how cathartic it is to admit one's mistakes and say sorry.
My door is always open when you feel you can do the same with me.
