It is clear that Florida would go to Cuba

Nah, Florida would go to Canada. Think about it.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

QFT. In fact - it would need to be subdivided. The east coast would go to Quebec and and the west coast to the remainder of Canada.

Also, Canada could finally reclaim Maine, which was/is rightfully ours after the war of 1812. Not sure why it was ever handed over. And it would certainly make for a more direct drive to the Maritime Provinces.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

However, California going to China? I think the core of the Chinese sector could be Sea-Vac, I've heard it has a VERY substantial yellow minority.

I didn't know there were such things as Russian professors.

How sad. There won't be a Russia by 2010.

Wouldn't Canada demand Arkansas and Louisiana too, so it would finally have a warm water port?

This is how the US will disintegrate:

The AFC and NFC will merge, then split into the North, South, East and West divisions. In order the Russians don't get Alaska or the Chin/Japanese Hawaii, some franchises will have to move: The Anchorage Jets and The Honolulu Raiders are born, and The Guamto Rico Lions will be formed after Detroit is booted out of the country for embarrassing everyone. Guamto Rico's new motor industry does surprisingly well.

The U.S. will then split along ethnic lines, and foreign powers will move in.
I don't see the ethnic lines on his map

What about the Laffer Curve? USC Professor Laffer postulated that, if the government cut taxes, it would stimulate business, actually bring in more tax revenues, and help balance the budget. Reagan embraced the theory -- It didn't work.

MOSCOW -- For a decade, Russian academic Igor Panarin has been predicting the U.S. will fall apart in 2010. For most of that time, he admits, few took his argument -- that an economic and moral collapse will trigger a civil war and the eventual breakup of the U.S. -- very seriously. Now he's found an eager audience: Russian state media.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

It's nice to know that in the coming period of economic and social/political chaos the breakup will happen so quickly along currently recognizable boundaries .
