in my city zoning restricitons wouldn't allow it. It was planned this way. Actually the area I live in now used to be a retirement section. But there is no current age restriction to live here. I like it though as it is quiet as we still have quite a few old people on my corner. Old people rock, or they don't rock which is what makes them such good neighbors. .

So these were estates that were zoned out back in the late 60's. (my home is 1984 though). They don't do these types of estates often. Most are regular parks where you have to pay rent .

Now if you live in a rural area like we did when we lived in sandy valley. You can pretty much build whatever you want on it. There are no city codes you have to abide by.

And bad weather isn't something I have to worry about here. We have no hurricanes, tornados, or major earthquakes. It can get windy at times, but generally nothing over 60 mph.

generally all the plumbing and vents are underneath. Though I have seen one with vents up in the ceiling.

Keep in mind mobile homes/ manufactured homes are built more cheaply than homes. Especially the wall thickness. So if you have kids, keep in mind they may hear you spanking your wife. . Plumbing used to be real bad. In fact, I'm unsure about my pipes. I think they were part of a class action lawsuit back in the 80's. I looked it up, but I'm too late to file for a claim. So I worry about a pipe bursting. I should replace all my plumbing soon. But it may turn out I don't have that specific type of pipe.

Not that houses are much better now days. They are really using alot of plastic to cut costs. You won't see too many houses use copper plumbing anymore. It's all plastic. And there have been many class action lawsuits for regular house plumbing as well.

PVC beats the hell out of metal, Dis. It's not just mobile homes going to it.

It rules unless you have to work with it.

it's easy once I learned how. I have worked with it (and had a job where I worked with it). I worked at the Frontier. They had copper in the new sections, and steel in the old.

Trust me, anything is better than steel. Copper is so easy to work with in comparison.
