Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
... I'll try to say it in a more comprehensible, less quippish way since I understand it's confusing:
- You said you had a high IQ
- And you thought you were only average among your coworkers.
- Therefore, syllogistically, they must have even higher IQs.
My comment, as I see it now was slightly misworded- what I probably should have said (and please don't take this as an insult- although regrettably what I'm saying now does seem to imply that you do not work hard- which was not at all what I meant to imply, since I have no idea either way. But apparently that's what I meant to say, since my quip makes no sense otherwise. Sorry.)
- You said you had a high IQ
- Perhaps your coworkers are working a lot harder than you but are not as smart.
- Therefore, they may very well have lower IQs.

I think I have been at ~40 all year. It is some of the reason I think I should leave physics after I graduate.

Maybe because I am not married, but I don't care much as long as I make more than 50k.
I don't like working more then 40-50 hours per week unless it is really important though.

I have no idea if IQ is a particularly good measure.
There is good reason to believe it's a better measure for physicists than other scientists (both based on the fact that the physicist pop tests significantly higher on it than other scientists and based on the fact that spatial reasoning and pattern recognition are extremely important to physicists and are also stressed in IQ tests)
By the way, I think IQ tests are full of crap (except as a very rough approximation) when it comes to determining something as many-dimensioned as "intelligence". I mention this every time I talk about IQ.
It is one measure. I think it lines up fairly well with "capability to be a physicist" when you additionally stress capability for symbol manipulation, an intuitive grasp of the relationship between numbers and the physical world and some other stuff I'm probably not thinking of right now.
I think it lines up less well with other branches of science, though there is still obviously a very strong correlation.
