It's probably going to end badly tomorrow (NY bar results finally arrive), so enjoy the coincidence while it lasts.

      Did she go to BHS?
I have no idea what BHS is. A high school, I'm guessing.

During my first trip to NYC, I was so impressed, that I didn't really sleep for 3 days. Everything was... amazing. I literally found in love with New York.

We are going early in NYC early January, with my mom, dads & sister. It's not the best time of the year, but Hotel are cheap, and this is the only times when we can have all our vacation at the same time.

We choose not to make any Christmas gift, and since usually we always spend too much money, we agreed to plan a trip to NYC instead. Also since my sister and I are not living near our parents, I'm pretty sure this means more for them, to make a trip with us and share time with us, than to just make gift.

I have to admit that the restaurant dining scene in NYC is top notch. I love going out to eat in that town.

It's dirty, the people are often obnoxious, there's too much crime (the first time I went as a child, my mother's purse was rifled before she even got out of the station)...the subways are a festering hell, Broadway musicals are as idiotic as other musicals, I'd hate the Yankees if I cared about baseball, everything's ridiculously overpriced, LaGuardia's like a seedy bar reincarnated as an airport...

I never particularly liked NYC all that much, but then again, I am a Jersey guy.

I really love New York, in a "great place to visit" sort of way.

Reason #11 -- It smells bad. All the time.

Yeah, the lack of alleys means a lot of dumpsters in front of the resturant that's about to rip you off for over priced food. A pleasant smell right before you eat.

Yes, New York is dirty, certainly dirtier than Chicago. It is also far more exciting and dynamic. We are also now a safer city than most other large cities in this country. And at least our subways run 24 hours and have significant coverage, unlike most public transit systems in the US.

#13. NYC didn't create the Stuffed Pizza, Italian Beef Sandwich, the Chicago Style Hot Dog, and doesn't have Fermilab nearby.
