So whats wrong with the OP ? Look: What is worse: A certain amount of time spent in a cell, that suits your needs in some minimum way, or the same time spent in a cell, where everything is too small for you ? Certainly the later, i´d say. So, to shave a few months (quantity) of his punishment to make up for the unsuitness of his cell he had to endure (quality) seems fine with me. EDIT: And according to what he said after being released, it fullfilled its purpose this way and more punishment wasnt needed.

If you knew the history of gang warfare in Quebec through the 90s you wouldn't be so sure about that. Almost 200 people died in the conflict between the Hell's Angels and the Rock Machine
