- Scrambled: with mustard and a bit of cheese, maybe a bit of pepper if I don't have mustard available.
- Poached: each egg on a piece of lightly toasted thick cut white bread, with salt.
- Fried: either by itself or occassionally with tomato or brown sauce, either on oatcakes (staffordshire oatcakes) or toast as above.
- Boiled: soft boiled with salt and soldiers

- Omelette: with bacon, mustard, cheese, crutons and then with brown sauce.

I've spent my childhood eating fried eggs with the crust and my mom never used butter for frying.
