There are some parallels that one can draw between the history of discrimination and persecution of blacks in United States with the discrimination and mistreatment of gays today in United States.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.Comment

While Kid maybe right that the argument may backfire, I'm not sure the cartoon agrees with him.
I think the cartoon does try to contrast the compassion for farm animals and supposed lack of compassion to humans, and does not mock the pro-gay-marriage line of reasoning.Comment
