Normally psychoanalyzing sheer madness always gets my motor running, but all he does is circumvent facts and logic whenever they're thrown at him, without ever losing his cool. This would be legal in Florida. It's probably legal in South Carolina also. As incidents like this have led to acquittals in both Louisiana and Texas, I don't see what Sloww's objection is. The man had a legitimate fear, and a right to defend his home by lethal means. The Federal Assault Weapom Ban expired in 2004 and was never replaced. A semi-automatic AK-47 is legal in many states. If it was modified to be fully automatic, it would be illegal. I thought "hell fire triggers" were technically legal because of some bizarre legalese definition. They defacto make an assault rifle automatic but still legal.
