Meh... people need to get over being outraged over remakes. Just don't watch it.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)

I suppose the new Alamo was "as good" as the John Wayne version, though they still both sucked.

The original movie wasn't that good. Any intelligent aliens would, if they were intelligent, consider human beings to be some sort of virus or some other class of pest. As if they would think it worth giving us a warning.
Who could blame them?Only feebs vote.

Come to think of it Jeff Goldblum's remake of The Fly back in the 80's beat the original too. If you consider The Dark Knight a remake it goes on the list too. Of course any TDTESS with Keanu Reeves will still suck, but meh.

Great remakes:
The Departed (remake of Hong Kong movie "Infernal Affairs")
Little Shop of Horrors (original was filmed in 1960s)
The Thing (John Carpenter is the man)
Scarface (with Al Capone now Cuban)
Ocean's 11 (but not 12, and DEFINITELY not 13)
Dawn of the Dead (as said above)
The Magnificent Seven (remake of Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai)
I even liked the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."I predict your ignore will rival Ben's" - Ecofarm

"I hope you can see this 'cause I'm [flipping you off] as hard as I can" - Ignignokt the Mooninite
