when i was a student i tended to use westlaw more often, but i found both to be useful."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

I learned on Westlaw.
After 10 years of having no research service, the court finally provided us with Lexis, but no training. Then one day, they upgraded my computer, which included changing my Lexis password, but they never told me what my new password is. The in-house person who would know, quit. I'm sure he's been replaced, but we've never been told who by.
So, now I use books.
(I love my job.)

I had access to and used both during my undergraduate years (2000-4) -- for which half of my undergraduate degree is in Law -- but have not had access to either since. I don't recall having a preference though.PolyCast Co-Host, Owner and Producer: entertaining | informing civ
