So it's now a "conclusion" that Obama wants to attack Iran because Powell stuttered around and Biden and Albright (Al-who? that was a thousand years ago she was somewhat "in") made some unrelated comments.

Despite initially saying it wasn't that necessary... LBJ pretty much did all the "hard things" that Goldwater said would have to be done.

It would not be too surprising if Obama found himself politically backed into a pro-war corner to reinforce his national defense credentials. *shrugs*.

I heard the Biden statement. It was made at two fundraisers in Seattle. The first one, nobody got a tape. But word got around and there was a significant press on hand at the second, so there is tape of it.

It may not necessarily be Obama is going to whack the first badboy to challenge him. He may pack up everything and pull out of the middle east totally, leaving Isreal to fend for itself. Much depends on the fundraising crowds he was speaking to, since the statement sounded tailored to the audiance.

One thing I do know, Biden is making a good case for a shortened term as VP.

Obama said he would get us out of Iraq when he was an outsider. Notice how his opinion changed after he became a serious candidate. The president doesn't have the kind of power that people think he does. If he insisted on doing things like that, that powerfull people don't agree with then he would be assasinated.
