I think there will be more plots than usual against this president but I would think the worst of the organized skinhead-neo-nazi types would be well known and relatively closely watched. Given some of the garbage such groups spew I actually don't credit most of their members with a whole bunch of smarts. But even they would probably know not to send the guy with a big nazi tatoo on his face LOL.

I would be more worried about the unknown racist or mentally unbalanced person that is actually pretty smart and/or willing to sacrifice themselves to get at the president. With no existing profile and no compatriots to leak details, I actually think the lone assassin is their worst scenario when attempting prevention. IF someone is totally unknown and unafraid to get caught, the measures needed to actually prevent an assassination would be extreme. I'm thinking they won't like him shaking hands in streets or whatnot. I'm just trying to imagine the level of diligence needed to act before someone can use a hidden weapon-- I think it would be fascinating if we could actually know how thorough they are

Coincidentally, some game company released a "Secret Service" game for PS, Xbox and PC yesterday, the plot dealing with a security breach during Inauguration Day.

As for various neo-nazi groups, I hate em so much that I'd be glad if some of those idiots decided to mail threats to Obama, or whatever, resulting in a lot of them getting arrested and otherwise shut down by the SS. Now that'd be good riddance...

Yeah, the abbreviation always strikes me as funny. Given the popularity of political correctness and the tendency to avoid anything bad sounding, I'm surprised they haven't tried renaming it to get a better sounding abbreviation. It could be called, I dunno, the Secret Protective Service, Federal Secret Service, whatever.
