I thought the first debate was more or less a draw, but this one felt like a decisive Obama victory. Except for the Georgia question, it looked like Obama won nearly every exchange.
And Brokaw's terrible. Why not just let the guys talk to each other? Jim Lehrer should be moderator for life...
McCain needed a decisive victory to turn the race around, and got a loss (or at best, a draw). Regardless of whether the McCain campaign's new strategy of associating Obama with terrorism and treason could work, the imagery that we saw last night decidedly was not reinforcing that argument. One debate left and all domestic policy, where McCain has been consistently weaker.
And McCain endorsed HOLC? He might have wanted to tell the Congressional Republicans that before the second compromise was drafted.
