  • You know, I'd be willing to bet we could play the "six degrees of separation" game between Hitler and some members of Palin's family who died when she was eight...this, however, does not make her a Fascist...
Are you guys really this dim? There's no "six degrees of separation game" going on here. Obama's Ayers number is 1.

How could Obama be only asserting they were neighbors and nothing else
Uh, because he said exactly that at a debate? Thank god Hillary was willing to bring up this "sleaze".

        Liar.

Obama never said Ayers was "just" a guy in the neighborhood. The quote is from a Democratic primary debate on April 16 in Philadelphia, and Obama actually was more forthcoming than McCain lets on. Obama specifically acknowledged working together with Ayers on a charitable board, and didn't deny getting some early political support from him. Here's the exchange:

ABC News' George Stephanopoulos, April 16: An early organizing meeting for your state senate campaign was held at his house, and your campaign has said you are friendly. Can you explain that relationship for the voters, and explain to Democrats why it won't be a problem?

Obama: George, but this is an example of what I'm talking about.

This is a guy who lives in my neighborhood, who's a professor of English in Chicago, who I know and who I have not received some official endorsement from. He's not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis.

And the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values, doesn't make much sense, George.

Sen. Hillary Clinton then said, "I also believe that Senator Obama served on a board with Mr. Ayers for a period of time, the Woods Foundation," and predicted that "this is an issue that certainly Republicans will be raising."
Obama never denied either what Stephanopolous or Clinton said, he never said the only extent of their relationship was just being neighbors. Your willingness to swallow GOP spin is laughable.

Thank god Hillary was willing to bring up this "sleaze".
On this, we agree. By bringing up this nonsense in April, she innoculated Obama from it being taken seriously by anyone accept dumb dittoheads now.

You can go see her in Ohio today, where she's campaigning for Barack Obama.

          • So Obama did try to pass Ayers off as just "some guy in the neighborhood" until Hillary called him on it. Guess that makes me right.

If you want to keep lying, be my guest. No one has ever accused you having any integrity.

Yes, Bill--who pardoned members of the Weathermen. Glad you approve of that.

PORTLAND, Ore. - Authorities have arrested two men after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a 4-foot by 8-foot campaign sign for Republican presidential candidate John McCain in a southeast Portland yard.

The TV news reports here had more details about this--it was apparently a part of an ongoing back-and-forth feud between the home owner who has the sign and several neighbors who want it gone because it violates the neighborhood's association rules.

But I'm sure if Obama had been there, he would have tried to stop them rather than lamely standing by and doing nothing.

That wouldn't be consistent with his dumbass false assertion as to what Obama did at the debate. In his world, not denying something = denying it. He's really taken the pretending-to-be-Chinese thing too far, as he's now showing a failure to comprehend basic English.
