Heh, my commute right now is an hour and twenty, so I could probably handle commuting from the cheaper areas.

Why move from one area full of assh***s to two large metropolitan areas stocked to the rafters with assh***s? That makes no sense.Originally posted by Lorizael
Boston, MA: I don't really want to move here, but a number of people I know are already here.
New York, NY: I want to be a writer and a number of major publishing houses are headquartered in New York.If you look around and think everyone else is an *******, you're the *******.

The difference is when you actually own a car, you have to pay for it. So while it's nice to show pictures of BMWs and pretend you know **** about cars, it's way too expensive and impractical for the vast majority of people.
The reason Mazdas are popular is because they are cost effective -- good on gas and great feature set for the price. Additionally, they usually have more power and are more nimble than their competitors.

You really want to write? Go to New York. Or even better, Washington DC. In both places lots of stuff happening all the time -- stuff readers care about. Seattle is very mellow and a good "scene" but the only writers using the setting are Sci-Fi folks. I like sci-fi, but you didn't say what type of writer so I am guessing fiction, without the science?
