Read the book, watched the flick. It could also very easily be Russian material. (No matter who delivers it and where) There's was enough of it floating around.

There are just too many nuke use scenarios out there for comfort.

I agree. But note: I didn't say "use;" I said "get."

To use a nuclear weapon against a nuclear power is not a good idea.

There's plenty of people there that will walk onto a bus and blow themselves up. They die in the conflagration they started. That's pretty much normal.

But the fissile materials can be traced back to the reactor that made it. Then the nation that sent the bomber will be retaliated against. National leaders may encourage their people to be suicide bombers, but it's not a job they want for themselves.

That's what I hope when I say Israel should have boomers. However who knows? Having nukes in the hands of a nation whose citizens willingly blow themselves up is scary. Who the heck knows what such are thinking? We know what the Brits are thinking, we know what the French and Israelis and Russians are thinking. While its lots of different things usually in the mix is, 'I don't want to die today'. That may not be the case with these guys. We hope, that's it. We don't know.

Well, "Nuclear sharing" or not, the final decision about those nukes is in the hands of the owners of the codes, not the non-nuclear NATO members. So "sharing" is a glorified term for "we (US, UK) use *your* military hardware (like aircraft) for delivering *our* nukes when we want to". The only limit is that the "partners" could say no to this (by not providing their own hardware), but in any case they have no real control over those nukes.

As for the subs, these are esp. modified for Israel IIRC so I dunno if they are prepared to launch nukes.

I thought Russia wasn't helping Iran build a nuke and its program was only for peaceful purposes.

We *are* helping Iran build a nuclear power plant. No idea what they're going to do with it.
