While the knee-jerk reaction is to decide the book will suck before it's even been published, I think the HHGTTG concept was so strong it's worth giving it a chance. After all, the Guide itself was composed Wiki-style.

I think the initial opposition by some was not based on whether the book will suck or not but if it should be written at all since Douglas Adams, the writer of all the rest of the books in the series, is quite clearly still dead.If at first you don't succeed, take the bloody hint and give up.Comment
