  • Anderson Cooper to pimp slap Obama tonight

TV newscasters are starting to gumble about the untruths that are becoming the mainstay of this campaign.

Last night, Anderson Cooper ravaged McCain and Palin. There was even a clip of Karl Rove opining that McCain has gone too far.

    Tonight, it's Obama's and Biden's turn.

    Should be interesting

It's not a matter of getting mad. He's just truthifying the candidates.

What does it matter? Conservatives will just dismiss McCain's problems and harp on Obama's, and Liberals vice versa.

Welcome to why I don't even bother debating on an internet forum. You just waste words and time trying to change someone's opinion and 99.9% of the time, their position will remain the same.

It's much more entertaining acting like a jackass.

Frankly, the way the media is going I wouldn't be surprised if Zkrib hadn't lifted the thread title from CNN's own site.

[pedant]And I thought Cooper was gay, so it would be a biatch slapping, not a pimp slapping.[/pedant]

He's in the glass closet, much as Jodie Foster is.

It's fine, largely because he's pretty hot.

I would say you were joking, but...

You see, this is how I would be a complete failure at being gay. Gay guys I know will make some remark about some dude they find hot, and the man concerned looks to me like a ****ing hideous garden gnome.

On the other hand, I have had some fun conversations with lesbians about hot women.

As far as McCain/Palin they're sliming of Obama is relatively par for the course. What is suprising is the unusually large amount of lies they say about themselves/each other from McCain depeatedly denying he ever said things that he was caught on tape saying to the blatant bridge to nowhere BS...

There's even one of McCain saying that he hasn't changed his stance on ANY position since the start of the campaign which really takes some chutzpah...

                        Nope. Thought it up myself.

                        Not really.

He did point out that Obama's still arguing that McCain wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years.

The supposedly big "gotcha" was Obama's claim that McCain's campaign is staffed by lobbyists. "Not true," says Anderson Cooper, "They've all been given leaves of absences from their lobbying firms." I think AC missed the point of Obama's argument.

The lobbyist charge kinda loses its luster when your veep's son is a lobbyist.

Used to be a lobbyist. Now I think he's some kind of executive.

But at least he's not a lobbyist running a campaign which promises to get rid of lobbyists.
