                        It's probably done by a Chinese. It's the only explanation for Hans Christian Andersen being in it, really.

                        Also, the artist is having obvious problems getting the facial features right of some Western, contemporary figures. (Where there was no historically established portrait available to assist, I guess).

                          Given that China accounts for 1/5 of humanity, and that the Chinese have the longest lasting single large civilization in the world, no.

                          But as Winston stated, this was probably painted by a Chinese artist.

                              Not just Chinese that no ones heard of, there's more than a fair share of commies.
