Oh now I'm not a man. Another fine argument.

I don't believe in morality. Everyone knows that.

I'm going to repeat the question, seeing as your response ignored it.

The IRA pursued a lengthy campaign of violence against civilians. Was that right?

For example, all of us are born as citizens, from which we receive immense benefit. But in so being born we also take on responsibility for what our government does and has done. This counts even if you didn't vote for it. All Americans are responsible for what Bush has done, because the US is a democracy and he's their elected leader.

If a corporation can sustain liability even when ownership is transferred numerous times, then a country can similarly sustain liability. The moral basis of this claim is that we have no right to benefit from the moral inequities of our ancestors.

The UK benefited for centuries from the rape of Ireland.

Of course I would. That's why I wish I were the citizen of a nation that didn't commit genocide.

When they get going, the English even have you Americans beat for pathetic self-righteousness, just as their conservative sex scandals are more deviant and pathetic than yours.

The core of this whole thing is their feeling of inherent racial superiority over the Irish.

And they have the audacity to pretend they are the victims.

I come from one of the wealthiest and most powerful nations on the planet...I certainly don't feel like any kind of victim whatsoever. What I do tire of is utter bullsh*t from people like you and Agathon.

And thankyou, but not only did I brush my teeth and shower, I also flossed. I don't know what century you are still living in Agathon Where's Asher when you need him to hand your arse to you on a plate?

Oh yeah, we look down on the Irish so much...is that why an Irish citizen has free movement between the two countries, can vote in our elections and has exactly the same accesses in our society as a British citizen, and is it why that over 150,000 Irish citizens live in London alone? You really have no f**king clue what you are on about. As per usual.

Probably not very. But that would not excuse me in any way if I decided to kill foreign civilians who weren't involved in the attack. If my family were killed by fanatical communists for being reactionary bourgeois pigs and so on, it'd be somewhat understandable if I swore to kill you. I'd be very upset, and you would be a convenient scapegoat for my anger since you're promoting the system that I'd see as the true murderer of my family. You'd actually be slightly more culpable than civilian targets of terrorists, as you actively promote the enemy in question. Many civilians don't care about politics at all, they just want to get their paychecks and feed their families. They might even be opposed to the government's actions, but feel constrained by their own powerlessness.

But, despite all that, I would be morally in the wrong if I went after you for something you had nothing to do with. Quite plainly. Like I said, there's a clear difference between understanding people's actions and condoning them.
