"Your brainwashing western media has convinced you that you have aircraft carriers? Stupid Americans!"

    Take your pick.

The funny thing is, we send the the command ship of the fleet, Russia sends a derelict of yesteryear.

              Advantage US.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

They are sending their ship away from the action. It can be dealt with if need be, np. Meanwhile what little navy they have at the scene of their invasion is not reinforced.

You can't just sink these boats - there are hundreds of men on board each. Yeah, granted, 90% of them are there to constantly bail out water...but they are there!

Those bailers could be put in chains and sent to the Texas Coast.

Blah, don't listen to them Serb, they are trolls. It looks like a very capable, multi role ship.

                          They are jealous no doubt.
Provost here...he is even English. The last innovative ship they floated was sunk by the US in the revolutionary war.

But then again it was also laid down in 1986, and you want to brag about its commissioning date?

Just to be clear, you are honestly comparing a ship built from the ground up for flagship role...and a combat vessel?
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.
