I'm very pleased with the pick of Palin, all Obama had to do was pick Hillary and he'd be winning.

Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.
The simple suggestion of a true change scandalizes and terrifies modern man. -Nicolás Gómez Dávila

In the Phils we often own pigs, and we own lipstick. I'm going to do some political research.
Don't bother. NPR already called a pig farmer and had him test it. His conclusion: if you try it mostly gets on the creature's nose, and it doesn't really care for the whole experience. It may try to eat the lipstick though.

Well in that case, maybe we should just make it so the Socialist Party USA wins
You can help it be so. I see that Chegitz has made Wikipedia because of his candidacy (I don't consider this an invasion of privacy, since he posted a link to his campaign site on Apolyton).
McCain may well win. The fact that he is the same-party replacement for perhaps the least popular President in living memory and yet is running near even with his opponent demonstrates how far the electorate will go to avoid electing a black guy (or insert your favourite explanation here).
At this rate, Obama will be able to get a cab in New York before he gets elected president.
The lipstick issue is ridiculous, but then again, I though it was ridiculous that some lefties criticized Palin as being shrill for her comments at the convention.
Frankly, even though it was obviously scripted, I though it was nice for Obama to attempt to show a sense of humor.
The only thing that matter at this point is charecter and judgement. Obama displays some very very poor Judgement on who he chooses as his friends.
America has a choice. Someone with 30 years of expierence who is a PROVEN reformer. And dont you dare say there isnt proof. Campaign finance, Immigration reform, Gang of fourteen, Troop Surge, Tax law. I can name so many of them the list is insane. Times when McCain has done what was right, not what the republican party line was at the time.
And then there is a politician from Chicago. Who never took on the corrupt Daly machine, has shady ties to questionable people like William Ayers, almost nill service, and has never reach across the aisle for anything in his career.
This is what the american people see. And this is lining up to be a hefty 10 point win for McCain barring any insane news that would seperate him from his base.
When the republicans unite. They can and will elect whoever they want. Remember thats how we got both bush's. The only time a liberal has won (clinton) a viable third party candidate existed is Perot.

Obama-Sinclair october suprise.
You know, if you took a person from an isolated tribe who had never seen an election or television before, and you showed them endless tapes of election campaigns from over the world and endless tapes of reality television shows and their associated press hoopla, I reckon they'd probably lump the current US election in with the reality shows (on the premise that neither are real).

Nah, in reality I would never dishonor an animal like that. Particularly one that's about to lose its life and contribute to my nourishment.

No. What matters is the US keeps electing republicans even though they just make things worse. What's he going to reform? Himself? He's going to reform the system with the same old crappy kind of ideas that Reagan Bush and Bush used. That's not reform. Wake up, you've been fooled. Why? I don't know. Probably becuase of all the patriotic bull**** adn the like that they pass off on you. Face it. THE US is going down the crapper. It's really going to start showing too with McCain. He's going to be worse than the others.
Plus McCain is no saint either. They both lie constantly.

Recent surveys show the majority of Americas now believe McCain's lie that Obama is going to raise their taxes. Study after study show that, the vast majority of Americans will be getting a bigger tax cut from Obama than from McCain. I'll be getting ~$2 k under Obama's plan as opposed to ~$1k under McCain's plan.
And I simply cannot believe Palin saying again last night that she said "Thanks but no thanks to Congress for the Bridge to Nowhere." She ran with the motto "Build the Bridge." She didn't turn against the Bridge until AFTER Congress had already pulled the money. She knows she's been caught in a lie, but she hasn't "clarified" what she was trying to say; she hasn't stopped saying it, she just continues to lie and lie and lie.
Woe be to this country if these two liars are elected.
