That does not belong on this list -- invalid entry.

Et pourquoi pas? J'ai pensée qu'il y a plus des Quebecoises malheureuses qui désirents à partir du Canada.

I live in Wales, which is slowly starting its way towards independence!.

Scotland, Cornwall, Southern US States, Tejas, Navajo and Hopi Reservations, Hawai'i, Catalunya, Flanders, Provence, Languedoc, Gibraltar, Ceuta, Sinai, Hong Kong & Macau before '97, Southern Thailand...

        Probably others that I've forgotten.

Quecebec clearly gets on the list and Canada doesn't, no idea what Dan is on about there.

No Mob, what about Hawai'i then? Ay special statute of autonomy for that state? Any separatism movement worth mentioning? Same for the southern US actually. What about Cornwall?

That's scraping the bottom of the barrel. You might as well add Yorkshire to the list.

Mebyon Kernow is a joke, even in Cornwall.

Sinai is neither separatist nor autonomous.
It isn't now, and it never was; even under Israeli occupation.

I used to live in Norn Iron.

Canada is not fully independent -- it's still part of the British Commonwealth. When I said "technically" before I was referring to autonomous, not separatist, but yes that is a stretch practically speaking still.

Quebec is not a separatist or an autonomous region -- it's a province like nine others in Canada. Sure there are those in the population that want to separate, though even then it's often not on quite-so-pure-separatist terms (e.g. supposedly still use Canadian currency after separation (!)), but that does not make it separatist. Add to that, its current Premier is a federalist even (leader of a federalist party). It's a tiresome debate and I've now said all I want on that subject.

Adding "Cornwall" to anyone's list is like adding an imaginary inch or two to your declared penis size. It might make you feel good, but it won't stand up to scrutiny.

Scotland, Wales - are these in any way autonomous in a way that England or northern Ireland aren't? Any significant assymetry in UK federalism there?

Yep, the way it works is that Scottish and Welsh nationalism is lauded and paraded as the best thing ever, while English nationalism is practically illegal.

This is what leads to muppets on here talking about Cornish independence.
