Ann Richardson may have been. Democrat.

    Her name is Ann Richards.

As for her popularity, she was defeated for re-election (by G Dub).

Texas might be the most awful example you could've used. Dems are worse off here than the vast majority of Southern states (Arkansas would've been a better "example," if my statement weren't so obviously hyperbolic).

You are getting pretty upset Ramo. You didn't watch the third one, perhaps you didn't find it, here it is.

Seems like the main problem with you is you think Obama doesn't suck. There is so much stuff of him sucking on the internet wierd how you haven't gotten around to it. Here is a hint, I don't think Nader is gonna win. Nader doesn't think he is gonna win. I would still vote for him. You don't know why he is running, please don't pretend like you do.

I doubt that the 3rd video will tell him or me anything we haven't heard before. Not the point.

If you're voting for Nader, tell me: do you think McCain will appoint liberals, moderates, or conservatives to the SCOTUS? An interventionist foreign policy? Continue with our current energy policy or reinvest in alternates? Try to pay down or limit the national debt or continue the "borrow and spend" policies we currently have? Try to differentiate between an ideal situation and the "lesser of two evils". Ramo isn't some star struck 18 yr old who hasn't grasped the ways of the world yet.

I voted for Nader in 2000 b/c I felt the repugs and demonrats were essentially the same. And wrt their subservience to big business, they are... but on other issues, Bush proved that there's a wide gulf between the two. If I have only 2 choices, I'll take the less bitter pill, thanks.

Again, the presidency of Bush caught me off guard. At the time he just seemed like another politician.

After 8 years of brutal incompetence & anti-democratic authoritarianism, I stand corrected.

We understand what it is. No one voted Nader in 2000 seriously expecting him to win. But it turns out playing the bad cop actually lead to torture...

Do you think Nader had a part in him coming president?

Oh for ****'s sake, lay off the third-party people, no matter who they are.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, makes me dislike the Dems more than when they claim that it was Nader's fault they lost in 2000. Bull****! No candidate is entitled to any one person's vote. And considering that somewhere around 3 million registered voters sat on their ass in Florida rather than cast a ballot, to blame Nader for the loss instead of Gore--for failing to motivate even 1,000 of those 3,000,000--is beyond petty and utterly self-defeating.

Because Bush got more votes than Nader, wouldn't it be Bush's fault that Gore lost??

Umm... Guy, I've never "blamed" Nader for Gore's loss. And I usually don't get into these kinds of arguments, but there was that whole "obedient worker and voter" nonsense...

I know, but that's the direction this conversation was heading, and it just gives me hives. The Dems have no ****ing balls, and deserve to lose because of this. I'm hoping Obama/Biden shows more stones than the past few tickets; going on O'Reilly is a start, but only that.

I agree, I think that the recent crop of republicans are much worse than the normal crop, which democrats are as bad as but in different ways.

The current crop of republicans are just terrible.
