I'm disgusted.
The key note of many is "Change". We have the first black presidential candidate running, and the second woman running as vice president. If that's the change, I'm not really impressed. It's historic, sure. Do the mere race and gender mean it will change, and for the better?
Not particularly.
So many people take what is said and written as gold. The fact is, some things either candidate says, they can't just twitch their nose and do. I'm not talking up one party, I'm saying it on both. It would be nice if both said what they endorsed, and what they would try to influence congress to support, but so far, no. It takes two to make a fight.
Debates are coming up. I really want to see more than the used up "time for a change" rallying cry. Change to what? Tell me now, or STFU.
