Thanks Asher."I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration." - Hillary Clinton, 2003

British touch?
Steam watch?
I live in Vancouver and I have no clue what this means.
Seattle and San Francisco are my favourite US cities. Probably would rank San Francisco at the top though.
Spots in Wyoming would not be highly ranked by me! Just got back from a Yellowstone and Grand Tetons trip. Grand Tetons! Are we allowed to say that on Apolyton? Anyway, it was an extremely difficult trip for a vegetarian. They seemingly have nothing but one company (possibly the gov't?) that runs all the restuarants. They all serve the same greasy, meaty, cheesy meals.
Also no TV or internet at cabins in the park. I like the whole back to nature stuff as much as the next guy but it would have been nice to see some Olympics, or at the bare minimum, do the internet check-in for the flight out.
The final irritation was my cast from fingers to elbow. People kept asking if it was a bear attack. After the three dozenth time it was hard to be a good sport about it.
Dang it is hard typing with the cast.

Come back real soon now!I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

For every corner like that in Vancouver there's a dozen more of these:
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Oh, the steam clock NOT a steam watch. I always thought that it was a bit "chingdogu" myself - but it does draw the tourists in like flies.
Westcoasters in general seem to be more fit and health conscious than the rest of the continent. Vancouverites also live longer than the people in other cities in Canada.
I think the diet might be better too. In Wyoming they had "deep fried cheesecake" on the menu. That is just disgusting and evil.
